Karen Guinn Robertson
Author and Creator of Treasure Bound Books

Karen started Treasure Bound Books in July 2007 to publish her first book in a new format she created (patent pending).

Inspired by her sons who are reluctant readers, Karen wanted to create something that kids 5-10 years old would choose to read for fun.

Her first book-game, Treasure Kai and the Lost Gold of Shark Island, is an interactive treasure hunt adventure featuring 8 treasure chests, 8 toys, 8 exciting stories, a treasure map and online fun.

Her mission is to be a parent-to-parent voice; helping parents spot reading problems early before they impact a child’s self esteem and behaviour.

Prior to launching Treasure Bound Books, Karen had an 18-year marketing career.

Originally from Texas, Karen lives in Sydney, Australia with her husband, Chris and two sons – Connor (11) and Scott (8).  She loves balancing family life with being an author and entrepreneur.
